BACTERIAL ADDITIVE FOR PARTS WASHING TANKS
In the mechanical workshops and in the maintenance departments of any type of industry, have always been used the tanks for degreasing and cleaning of parts and mechanical components, such as processing oils, lubricants, corrosion protection products, greases, etc. Historically, the products usually used have been solvents of petroleum origin, which are dangerous for the operator and the environment and must be periodically disposed of.
The new generation of biological parts washing tanks uses eco-compatible products, such as biodetergents and biosolvents, as an alternative to traditional hazardous solvents, of petroleum origin. Together with the use of these biocleaners for the degreasing activity, specific microorganisms are combined that degrade the residual dirt, of hydrocarbon origin, removed from the pieces and mechanical components, such as oils, solvents, aromatics (benzene, toluene, xylene), chlorinated, etc.
The microorganisms therefore carry out a degradative activity of the substances of hydrocarbon origin removed: these pollutants are a source of food and energy for our microorganisms, they are metabolized and transformed into CO2 (carbon dioxide) and H2O (water).
REASONS WHY IT IS APPROPRIATE TO USE A WASHING SYSTEM WITH BIO PARTS WASHERS The biocleaners, used as an alternative to dangerous solvents of petroleum origin, are non-toxic, non-flammable and do not require strict precautions for storage and for the safety of the operator. The microorganisms, periodically introduced into the biocleaner solution, continuously purify the washing bath, biodegrading oils and fats and minimizing the production of sludge and bad odors. It therefore contributes to safeguarding the health of operators and guaranteeing hygiene and safety conditions. It is not necessary to install a suction hood and a retention tank. As the microorganisms continuously regenerate the washing solution, they allow to save money. The biocleaner has minimal evaporation compared to petroleum-based solvents. The washing solution also has a very long life compared to solvents which, moreover, must be periodically disposed of. The product contributes to the protection of the environment, as there is no emission of VOCs (responsible for climate warming), and generates a significant reduction in waste, compared to those produced by hydrocarbon solvents. The microorganisms used for the biodegradation process are natural and belonging to class 1.
