CONTROL OF ODORS

The presence of bad smells is one of the most important elements of concern for the population residing in the vicinity of industrial and processing plants, waste treatment and disposal, purification plants, livestock farms, etc. Although in general no direct effects on health have been demonstrated, the so-called olfactory harassment can alter the psychophysical balance of people, producing a state of stress and discomfort.

The interest in this problem has increased especially in recent years, not only due to the greater attention paid to environmental protection and human health, but also due to the expansion of inhabited centers, which has led to a shorter distance between residential, industrial areas and the countryside and has caused problems of coexistence between the population and the production activities naturally located in the territory. The greatest concern in this context is above all linked to the fear of toxicological risk, since bad odor conditions are almost always associated with unhealthy situations in the air.
Most of the products traditionally used to combat bad odors are made with particularly intense perfuming essences, which have the purpose of masking odors in the air. Often, this combination leads to the generation of odors that are worse than those that were intended to be eliminated. Our odor neutralizers, on the other hand, instantly reduce bad odors at the origin, eliminating the perception of foul-smelling gases through chemical or physical destruction of the molecules foul-smelling that make up odors. Our formulations are composed of mixtures of fragrances extracted from vegetables (flowers, fruits and roots), from essential oils and, in synergistic combination, with selected bacterial strains.

The types of our odor neutralizers are mainly divided into two categories, related to the type of source of the unpleasant odors:

Contact neutralizers: they are specifically designed to be applied directly on malodorous substances. In this way they directly and very quickly counteract the fumes of bad odors, chemically by inhibition and physically by absorption. Application examples: landfills, waste disposal, composting plants, sludge tanks, waste water treatment plants, septic tanks and Imhoff, farms, stables, chemical toilets and leaking wells.

Neutralizers in the air: they are used directly, with nebulization or atomization systems, in the air that already contains foul-smelling gases. In this situation, the neutralizing agents encapsulate the odorant molecules, making them no longer perceptible to our smell. Application examples: purification plants, sewage storage tank relaunch stations, bathrooms, rooms, porous floors, urinals, scrubbers and fireplaces. Our odor neutralizers have pleasant fragrances that are barely perceptible (only to confirm their presence) or they can be completely odorless, upon request.
